Pacific Justice Institute (PJI) has an immediate opening for a remote full-time Associate Attorney in New York to support our Staff Attorneys across the country.

Responsibilities
- Drafts legal documents – including discovery requests, motions, deposition summaries – and assists with witness coordination by locating, interviewing, preparing declarations, testimony. This position will require compiling trial materials, managing exhibits, and supporting attorneys at trials. In addition, the candidate will conduct legal research, analyze disciplinary files, recommend file dispositions, prepare discovery responses, research memoranda, review court summaries, and perform related duties.
- The Associate Attorney will support senior attorneys with legal research; drafting documents, including motions, briefs, contracts; and preparing discovery requests and responses. They will aid in case preparation – conducting witness interviews, preparing deposition summaries, and organizing trial exhibits; analyze statutes, case law, and client files fto provide recommendations, attend hearings, and assist in negotiations and settlements. They will also perform additional legal tasks aligned with the case and firm goals.
- Applicant must be currently admitted to the State Bar Association in the State in which they reside (and is listed above), licensed to practice law in his/her respective State.
