The Staff Attorney will bolster KJI’s litigation efforts by identifying, creating, and managing legal actions in and out of court. This includes research, discovery, drafting, and possible court appearances. This attorney may also interface with clients, policymakers, and donors.
The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of litigation, clerkship, or legal writing experience; be licensed to practice law in Kansas or be able to expeditiously obtain a Kansas law license; and demonstrate a commitment to understanding constitutional law, limiting government, and advancing individual rights.
