We have built our reputation on strong advocacy, exceptional client service, and a team that genuinely cares about the people we represent.

We are looking for an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to join our litigation team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys litigation and wants meaningful responsibility for their cases without having to do it alone. Our attorneys are supported by a team of highly experienced litigation paralegals and legal assistants who understand personal injury litigation, know how to move cases forward, and allow our attorneys to focus their time where their legal expertise matters most.

The Opportunity

As a Litigation Attorney at Jacobs & Jacobs, you will manage a caseload of personal injury matters through litigation, mediation, arbitration, and trial.

You will have significant autonomy over your cases while working alongside experienced attorneys and a seasoned litigation support team. We believe attorneys are most effective when they have excellent people around them, and we have invested in building a litigation team that provides that support.

We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their cases, exercises sound judgment, communicates well, and understands that excellent representation means both aggressively advocating for the client and taking exceptional care of them throughout the process.

What You’ll Do

Manage personal injury cases through litigation and resolution
Evaluate cases for liability, damages, merit, and value
Develop case strategy and independently move cases forward
Take and defend depositions
Draft and argue motions
Conduct and oversee discovery
Prepare clients and witnesses for depositions, mediation, arbitration, and trial
Prepare complaints, mediation briefs, trial briefs, and other litigation documents
Investigate facts and develop evidence
Identify, retain, and work with experts regarding liability and damages
Negotiate with defense counsel and insurance carriers
Represent clients at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials
Maintain strong communication with clients throughout their cases
Collaborate closely with our experienced litigation paralegals, legal assistants, attorneys, and leadership team
What We’re Looking For

3–5+ years of personal injury litigation experience
Active license to practice law in Washington State
Jury trial experience strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of Washington tort law, insurance law, damages, civil procedure, and court rules
Experience taking and defending depositions
Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to independently manage litigation strategy, deadlines, and case priorities
Excellent client communication skills
