About the Opportunity

Faith Online is a pre-revenue & launch faith driven social and community app seeking an experienced legal consultant for flexible, ad hoc support. We’re looking for someone who can provide guidance on an hourly basis as legal questions arise, rather than a full-time or ongoing retainer arrangement.

What We Need

Flexible engagement: Hourly consultations as needed, not a long-term commitment
Responsive support: Ability to answer questions relatively quickly when they come up
Relevant expertise in one or more areas:
- Terms of Service and Privacy Policy drafting/review
- User-generated content and platform liability (Section 230, DMCA)
- Data privacy compliance (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
- Community guidelines and content moderation – for example, in-app document sharing
- Any legal considerations around application launches and management (US only for now)
- Ad Hoc Contractor/employment questions – we have the core infrastructure in place

Ideal Candidate

Licensed attorney with tech/startup experience
Experience working in community or social apps
Comfortable with asynchronous communication (Slack, email) and/or jumping on advisory calls a few times per month
Practical, business-minded approach
Clear, straightforward guidance without unnecessary complexity
Experience working with pre-revenue or bootstrapped companies
