SCOTUS 2024 Application Form
Event Date: Sunday, November 3 to Monday, November 4, 2024, with the actual swearing-in ceremony taking place on Monday, November 4, 2024.
Details: Christian Legal Society will be hosting our second group of CLS members to be admitted to the bar of the United States Supreme Court. CLS is excited to have this opportunity again but will be limited to a small group of only 12 members given that it is an argument day. If you are interested in joining our group, you MUST be a CLS member. You MUST also be in good standing and admitted to the practice of law for at least 3 years in your state(s). If you are not selected this year, please know that CLS has nearly 2,000 members and, unfortunately, is unable to accommodate every member for this swearing-in ceremony. CLS hopes to regularly continue this tradition. And we invite all members of the Supreme Court bar to join us in celebration in Washington, D.C., following our national conference. Please note that there will be a small fee for guests to cover food and related costs.
Costs: All attorneys being sworn in this year will be asked to cover the associated costs for the Supreme Court of the United States swearing-in ceremony. A room block has been secured for the group at the same hotel as the national conference (Capitol Hilton).  For your planning purposes, registration costs will cover the following: Sunday night lodging at hotel, SCOTUS bar admission costs, a pre-swearing-in reception, and local transportation to the court from the reception. For those who wish to stay longer, you will need to cover your additional costs. Those selected to be sworn in will be responsible for their own flight/travel accommodations to and from Washington, D.C.. More details will be distributed to the selected applicants.
Important Information: At the present time, SCOTUS is only allowing one additional guest to accompany the applicant inside the courtroom. For planning purposes, should you decide to bring your family and friends with you to Washington, D.C., they are welcome to join in the non-swearing-in events for a small cost. They may also join the public line to try and obtain admission inside the courtroom. Please note there is limited seating available and they may not be able to attend on this argument session.
Deadlines:  To be considered for admission to the Supreme Court, please complete this form (INSERT LINK) NO LATER than June 17, 2024. Selected applicants will be notified by Friday, June 28, 2024. All materials from each of the 12 applicants must be provided by CLS as a group to SCOTUS far in advance and thus CLS will set a deadline for receiving all admission materials from the selected applicants.
