Orthodox Christian Attorney Network (OCAN) online national conference where Orthodox Christian attorneys from across the country will gather online and be inspired to live out our calling as Christians in the law.  We are pleased to announce two extraordinary speakers at this year’s event.  You won't want to miss this!

OCAN Presenters


Opening Prayer by Archbishop Michael Dahulich, Orthodox Church in America; Chair, Legal Affairs Committee, Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops. The Most Reverend Michael Dahulich was ordained to the Holy Priesthood in 1973. He is a member of the Orthodox Theological Society of America and rep­resents the OCA at the advisory council meetings of the American Bible Society.  On September 22, 2009 the Holy Synod of Bishops of the Orthodox Church in America elected him to the episcopacy for the Diocese of New York and New Jersey. Bishop-Elect Michael was tonsured as a Riasophor Monk on October 23, 2009 at St. Tikhon’s Monastery Church. He was then tonsured into the Lesser Schema at the Monastery Church on Holy Tuesday, March 30, 2010. The following day he was elevated to the rank of Archimandrite and awarded the mitre by Metropolitan Jonah. Bishop Michael was appointed Rector of St. Tikhon's Seminary in October 2013. His Eminence was elevated to the rank of Archbishop in 2015.  His Eminence earned degrees from Christ the Saviour Seminary in Johnstown, Pa. (B.Th. in Theology), St. Vincent College in Latrobe, Pa. (B.A. in Philosophy), and Duquesne University (M.A. and Ph.D. in Theology).

Hon. Stephanos Bibas is a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Judge Bibas was previously a professor of law and criminology at the University of Pennsylvania Law School. He graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Columbia University in 1989 with a B.A. in political theory and from Oxford University in 1991 with a B.A. in jurisprudence.  He then earned his J.D. from Yale Law School in 1994. Judge Bibas clerked for Judge Patrick Higginbotham of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and Justice Anthony Kennedy on the Supreme Court, and was a litigation associate at Covington & Burling LLP. Thereafter, Judge Bibas served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of New York.

Judge Bibas is also an ordained Deacon in St. Elizabeth the New Martyr Orthodox Church in Rocky Hill, NJ.

Steven Christoforou is the Director of the Youth & Young Adult Ministries at Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America.  A graduate of Yale University, Fordham University School of Law, and Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, Steve is passionate about sharing the Gospel in a clear and accessible way and helping people see Christ at work in their lives.  Steve is a gifted speaker and host of the popular “Be the Bee” youth video program.
