The Pennsylvania Family Institute seeks an additional attorney to work in its Independence Law Center, litigating cases involving religious freedom and traditional values. In addition, this attorney will be responsible for various additional projects, including lobbying the Pennsylvania legislature on behalf of life and religious freedom. The Pennsylvania Family Institute is located in Harrisburg, PA.
The Pennsylvania Family Institute is a state family policy council dedicated to advancing life, religious liberties, and traditional values. Through its staff, it educates citizens across Pennsylvania, helps Pennsylvania legislators better understand the implications of the laws they are considering, and litigates to advance its issues.
Legal counsel will join 14 other experienced, committed, and hard-working staff members. Two of the existing staff members are attorneys who work together handling litigation, providing legal advice, making media appearances, preparing memos and documents for legislators, doing speaking engagements on legal issues, meeting with donors, as well as other tasks.
· A minimum of five to seven years of litigation experience preferred
· Clear, crisp communication both orally and in writing
· Excellent academic credentials

· Pass the PA bar (or receive reciprocity) within a year of employment
