Position Summary
HILS invites applications for full-time faculty positions at the Assistant or Associate or Full Professor rank. We are seeking committed Christian legal professionals who possess a deep desire to teach, mentor, and spiritually disciple the next generation of Christian global leaders. Candidates should have a strong interest in integrating a biblical worldview into their legal instruction and building meaningful relationships with a diverse, international student body both inside and outside the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
- Teaching: Deliver high-quality, comprehensive legal instruction in English across foundational U.S. law courses.
- Mentorship & Discipleship: Actively invest in the spiritual, character, and professional development of law students, serving as a trusted resource for counsel, advice, and guidance.
- Institutional Participation: Participate in law school chapels and faculty fellowships that supports the evangelical mission and vision of Handong International Law School.
Required Qualifications
- A Juris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent advanced law degree (LL.M., S.J.D., Ph.D.) from an accredited institution.
- Active membership and good standing in a U.S. State Bar.
- A clear, mature, and vibrant evangelical Christian faith.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (the sole language of instruction).
- Prior legal practice experience (e.g., corporate counsel, public interest, private firm, or clerkships) is highly valued.
