Community Christian Legal Aid is looking for a Legal Aid Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to justice and a passion for helping those in need.

As a Legal Aid Attorney, you will provide legal representation and advice to individuals who cannot afford to hire a lawyer. You will handle various cases, including family law, kinship adoptions, and guardianship cases. Your role will involve conducting client interviews, preparing legal documents, representing clients in court, supervising cases of other volunteer attorneys, and providing legal education to the community. You will work closely with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure CCLA clients receive the best possible legal assistance.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, a thorough understanding of the law, and the ability to work under pressure. You must be able to manage a caseload and meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, all while communicating effectively with clients and staff. This is a challenging but rewarding position that offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of those who are most vulnerable.

Position offers paid time off, 14 paid holidays, and reimbursement for health care insurance. Bilingual preferred, but not required.

Salary range: $70,000-$80,000

Requirements: J.D. from an accredited law school; active license with the State Bar of Texas, prefer someone with 2 years of family law experience.
