While this retreat is targeted toward those hailing from the Northeast US region (Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Maine, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, D.C., and Maryland), all are welcome to attend.

Developing Good Spiritual Disciplines in the Practice of Law

Does God want us to slow down a bit? How does God want to transform us in the storm? Join us for an amazing weekend where we hope you will take the time away spiritual disciplines that you can also implement in the practice of law!

Our featured guest speaker, Peter Scazio, is an attorney and motivational speaker who uses his testimony as a cancer survivor to minister to others in the body of Christ. Throughout the retreat, Peter will be joined by Sean Stewart, CEO of Children’s Bible Fellowship of New York. Peter and Sean co-host a powerful podcast that unpacks a lot of spiritual truths. Over the weekend, together they will cover various areas of how God can use our brokenness and situations to surrender totally to him. At the end of this weekend of reflection, we hope attorneys and law students alike will learn how we can move from “doing” (like Martha) and into “being” (like Mary).

Our very own attorney and CLS member, Jonathan Nelson, will also provide an optional CLE on Saturday afternoon entitled “Religious Institutions in a Secular Environment.”

Law Student Scholarships 

As a reminder, Attorney Ministries teams up with Law Student Ministries each year to sponsor law student scholarships at ALL of our regional retreats. We want students to attend at a discounted (or even free) registration rate and enjoy wholesome fellowship.
