Find Legal Help

Christian Legal Aid Clinic Directory

If you are in need of legal help and cannot afford an attorney, please search our Christian Legal Aid Clinic Directory for the Christian legal aid program nearest you.  (Note that Christian Legal Society does not have control over local legal aid programs — each program operates independently.) Most Christian legal aid programs are run by volunteers who typically can provide general legal advice, but do not provide full representation.

If you have any questions about our network of Christian Legal Aid clinics, you may contact us by email at CLA@clsnet.org or call 703-894-1086. When contacting us, please let us know the city and state in which you live.

Find a Christian Attorney

This directory is a list of independent, private attorneys who have identified themselves as Christian attorneys. As they are private attorneys, and not legal aid attorneys, they generally charge for their services. You may contact them to determine if they are able to help you, but they generally do not provide pro bono services.

We provide these lists as a resource, but these clinics have no affiliation with the Christian Legal Society. These legal aid programs have staff attorneys who may be able to provide legal representation if you meet their maximum income guidelines (125% of the federal poverty guidelines).

Your state or local bar association (organizations of lawyers) may have a lawyer referral service to help you find a private lawyer who has experience with your type of legal problem and will meet with you for a reduced fee. Your local law school may also have free legal clinics where law students provide free legal help under the supervision of law professors.

You may also want to search the American Bar Association lawyer directory for a private attorney in your area.
