This is a full-time on-site role for an Associate Attorney at Perkins & Associates, LLC. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for performing a variety of legal tasks, including conducting legal research, preparing for and deposing witnesses, preparing for and attending hearings, providing legal advice, negotiating settlements and readiness for trial. The role requires a strong understanding of law, particularly in the areas of insurance and transportation regulations.

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of law, with a focus on insurance defense, litigation and transportation.
• Writing and communicating well.
• Experience in conducting legal research.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Familiarity with rules of evidence and civil procedure (state and federal)
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness to attend depositions, hearings and trials.
• Admission to the bar in Louisiana or Texas.
• Experience in the defense sector (preferred)
