Form an attorney chapter
Christian Legal Society (CLS) Attorney Chapters offers legal professionals a safe haven from the daily challenge of being an attorney. Member attorneys are encouraged through fellowship, and have the opportunity to pray publically with other colleagues in monthly prayer meetings, sponsor Bible studies to learn about Jesus Christ, build practical skills in the practice of law, learn about best practices through engaging speakers, obtain CLE credit for attending programs – all with the purpose of providing chapter members tangible ways to grow their practices and at the same time give back to their communities.
A chapter is a wonderful way in which to join with others who share the same faith in Christ and with those who face similar challenges and opportunities in the field of law and their lives. Hopefully, your time meeting together will encourage the following:
“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more, as you see the day drawing near.” Hebrews 10:23
The calling to form a CLS attorney chapter is a major step in the life of a Christian. It is one that involves much prayer and careful thought and consideration. The first step is to gather two or three other attorneys who share the same vision to begin a local chapter. Once this initial group has meet prayerfully and consistently for some months, they are then prepared to work together in the direction that they are being led to form a local chapter.
