The 2022 CLS Midwest Regional Retreat took place February 2-4. It was the sixth annual retreat at Conference Point Center, Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. In attendance were 49 attorneys from five states, law students from five schools, and many spouses and children. The plenary speakers were CLS National Director of Attorney Ministries Lakuita Bittle; Rich Baker, current CLS National Board Member; Anthony Bushnell, former CLS National Board Member; and CLS Chicagoland Area Coordinator Brent Amato. The attendees enjoyed worship led by CLS member Paul Baertschi and other vocal and instrumental attorney and law student volunteers. Attendees participated in mixers aimed at finding “The Most Interesting People at the Retreat,” small groups to digest the weekend’s presentations, and huge quantities of fellowship, food, and fun.
