The Lawyer’s Calling: Work and Rest in God’s Kingdom
Speaker Mike Schutt will guide attendees as they explore the topics of work and leisure to the glory of God and its relationship to His Lordship over all things.
As we rest and think together, we will ask the Lord to direct us around the topic of vocational stewardship and the question whether lawyers can live a thoughtful, reflective life in the midst of law study and practice.
Professor Schutt is Principal Lecturer at Regent University School of Law and director of CLS Law Student Ministries and the Institute for Christian Legal Studies.
Cost
Prices include 5 meals over the weekend, lodging, and opportunities for CLEs.
Attorney Registration $300
Spouse Registration $150
Student Registration $75*
Student spouse Price $75
Children 6 and under – free**
Children 7 and over – $75**
*Student price rooms will be shared with 1-2 other students.
**Children’s price requires the child be in the same room with parent(s).
Space is limited – sign up quickly!
Logistics
We highly encourage carpooling and proper vehicle equipment in case of snow.
**If you are currently CPR and first aid certified and will have your certification at the time of the retreat please let us know if you’d be willing to be designated as the volunteer for the weekend if any needs arise.**
